Q：老師您好！我想問I can't risk being punished by cheating on the exam.為何這一句是being punished而不是to be punished。處罰應該是被動的不是嗎？那應該要如何還原？謝謝

我們通常將 risk 作為「名詞」或「動詞」使用，其常見相關片語如下：
1. risk (v.) + N / Ving 冒險去做……
EX: I won’t risk (giving up) my life to save such a selfish person.
(我不會冒著犧牲我生命的風險去救一個那麼自私的人。)
P.S. 如果您將括弧中的 giving up 加入句子裡面，那麼就是 risk 後面加上 Ving 的用法；反之則是加上 N 的用法。
2. run / take + the risk (n.) of + N / V-ing 冒著……的風險
EX: When I knew your investment plan, I had told you not to take the risk of putting all eggs in one basket.
(當我聽聞妳的投資計劃時，我就告訴過妳不要冒這種把所有雞蛋都放到同一個籃子裡的風險。)
3. risk (v.) one´s neck 冒著生命危險

4. put N. at risk (n.) 使……陷入風險之中

5. at one´s own risk (n.) 自擔風險；後果自負

另外呢，在我們背單字的時候，也要注意單字的用法，像是 risk 這個字的用法跟 enjoy 的用法就有點相似，因為都可以在後面接上名詞或是 Ving 的結構，所以就算是被動語態，也是在後面接上 being + Vpp 的組合即可表示，這也就是為什麼我說原本的句子並無錯誤了。
